I love this display of stag horn ferns at the Philadelphia Flower Show. I tried one once but it slowly died over the course of a year. 😪 I miss it so may have to resort to faux!
Houseplants and paperwhite bulbs are my go to’s for winter decor —snake plant (you can’t kill it) by the fireplace, a $3 fern on the mantle, some pothos cuttings hanging from a christmas stocking hook, and paperwhite bulbs on the table. Why haven’t garden and home centers caught on that paperwhite bulbs are gorgeous all winter long? I’ve learned to stock up on these bulbs before Christmas, so I can do several plantings to keep me going through the winter months! ā„ļø
Need a mid-winter refresh? Our grain sack style body pillow covers come in 2 sizes and 5 stripe colors. $5 flat rate shipping anywhere in the US! Link to homespunstyle.etsy.com in bio.
Changed out my cabinet doors for a pleated sink skirt today for a mid-winter refresh! It’s a fun change that can easily be switched back to doors. Kitchen cabinets and sink are Ikea. Working on a blog post with complete instructions on how to make a sink skirt.
Hanging out here with favorite magazines, hot coffee and a little Instagram until the halftime show....šŸ˜ā„ļøā˜•ļø
When friends say, ā€œI love it but I don’t have a place for it,ā€ my response is always ā€œIf you love something, you’ll find a place for it!ā€ Well, I’ve been eyeing this chunky, funky bench at @backhomebelvidere for months but didn’t purchase it because I didn’t think I had a place for it. My memory finally kicked in last weekend, reminding me of my advice to others. So I snapped up this 6 foot long piece of industrial chic and as I drove home with my treasure, thought about different rooms to try it in. First stop, the dining room. I decided to swap out 3 dining table chairs on one side of the table for this bench. I love it! Our dining room is a place where guitars get played, books get read, orders get processed, teens hang out and kittycats sleep. This oversized upholstered bench has a quirky, casual vibe that reflects more of how we use this room. And, I must say, there’s nothing like an upholstered seat for an aging derriĆØre! My butt and I thank you @backhomebelvidere.šŸ™Š
